Youth Diagnostic Clinic
This intensive, three-week mental health assessment provides comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis and treatment plans for children with challenges such as attention deficit disorder (ADD), bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. Staffed with one masters-level therapist for every two children, up to six children can attend at one time. The group setting allows the therapists to observe how each child interacts with others. The therapists also review school and medical records.
Child psychiatrists also particpate in the diagnosis and treatment planning. They help parents to understand the diagnosis and any medications recommended for their child, as well as the overall treatment plan. With permission, we provide feedback and work with the child's physician, school, therapists and others to ensure a comprehensive, fully integrated treatment plan. For more information, contact John Barton, PhD, LPC at 303 347 6454.
