Prince Street Academy, a program of Arapahoe Douglas Mental Health Network, is a year-round therapeutic day treatment school approved by the Colorado Department of Education. The school serves children ages eight to 18 who have been identified as having significant emotional or behavioral problems that prevent them from temporarily attending their own school.

An alternative to out-of-home placement or hospitalization, Prince Street Academy combines therapeutic services with certified education programming five days a week. Students also receive medication as needed and participate in family therapy as a component of this complete day treatment program. Children typically spend anywhere from one to nine months at Prince Street Academy before returning to their own schools – although the length of stay depends on the needs of each individual student.
It is a warm, strength-based program that nurtures children and helps build the skills they need so they can return to their originating school.
