Medication Services
Prescription medication may be recommended as a part of your child’s treatment plan. If so, a comprehensive assessment with one of our child psychiatrists will be offered for your child to determine if she or he would benefit from such medication. If recommended and you agree, your child will be placed on medication. Then regular follow-up medication checks will be scheduled with a psychiatrist or clinical nurse specialist.
Other services
If your child receives medication without therapy, he or she will be assigned to a case manager. This case manager will supervise your child’s progress, attend medication appointments and be available as a general resource to answer your questions or concerns. Finally, 24-hour emergency services are also available for crisis intervention and assessment for psychiatric hospitalizations, as appropriate.
Licensed board-certified child psychiatrists
Medication management is available through our licensed, board-certified psychiatrists and child psychiatrists. Some specialize in addictions treatment. Advanced practice nurses and other prescribing nurses are also on staff. They provide consultation, evaluation and prescription of medications as appropriate.
