11:30 luncheon
Inverness Hotel & Conference Center
Come back soon to view pictures of the event!
There was a reception at 11:00am, where we enjoyed background music by the Peneplain Jazz Trio, directly followed by a decadent lunch, uplifting award ceremony, and keynote speech given by Tonier Cain.
Tonier "Neen" Cain suffered a childhood of abuse and neglect and lived on the streets for two nightmarish decades. She endured unrelenting violence, hunger and despair while racking up 66 criminal convictions related to her addiction, ultimatley finding herself incarcerated and preganant in 2004. Her heartwrenching story illustrates the consequences that untreated trauma has on individuals and society at-large, including mental health problems, addiction, homelessness and incarceration. Today, she is a nationally renowned speaker and educator on the devastation of trauma and the hope of recovery. Treatment for her lifetime of trauma offered her a way out... and up.

April Zesbaugh, co-anchor of 850 KOA Colorado's Morning News, will emcee the event.
