Our internships lead to opportunities.
Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network’s Internship Program is among the strongest mental health clinical programs in the state, with up to 30 interns training with us at any given time. Our program produces highly qualified students who are prepared to take on the challenging professional world. And because Arapahoe/Douglas Mental Health Network is a community mental health network, it has the resources and the flexibility to meet student-training needs while meeting the unique requirements of school programs.
Many find exciting careers right here with us.
Our internship program offers a wide range of clinical training opportunities to enhance the professional marketability of each intern. Opportunities are available to students ranging from undergraduate to doctoral level. And, as an organization that embraces a multi-cultural environment, we welcome bilingual interns.
You'll get much more than just clinical training.
Our training incorporates a wide variety of professional experiences. New professionals are encouraged to take on projects, interact within our comprehensive continuum of mental healthcare, experience leadership roles, and become an integrate part of our network. We encourage the development of proactive professionals who are able to advocate for their clients in this managed care environment. Interns have the opportunity to learn about multiple community organizations and concepts such as agency neutrality, level of care, integrated mental-physical healthcare, and community outreach.
